Dante’s original and insightful linguistics poetics have prompted important conversations among scholars, in terms of their anthropological, theological, philosophical implications. In this article, I reconsider understanding language from the perspective grammar music. bring together scholarship these two disciplines to analyze theoretical poetical works, argue that music offered Dante distinct ways think about language. trace relationship between De Vulgari Eloquentia first, first cantos Comedy (Inf. 1–3), second part article.
